The best part about the holidays is being able to spend quality time with the people you love. Whether it's your family, friends, or a significant other, the season is always brighter with their happy faces around. It doesn't even matter if you got them a super elaborate gift or not. As long as you're all warm and cozy in the same place, that's all that matters.
This classic sketch from Saturday Night Live celebrates that heartwarming aspect with a sweet song. Of course, they put a hilarious spin on the traditional musical number with some perfectly silly lyrics. Featuring Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig, and Maya Rudolf, the ladies start by adding the finishing touches to their Christmas tree. It all seems pretty normal as they discuss their plans for the show's holiday hiatus, but when Rudolph talks about spending the time with her "new guy," things get…well, really weird. Poehler and Wiig reveal they also plan to snuggle up with their sweetheart, too, and they transition into song-mode in an adorable homage to old-fashioned Christmas specials.
As it turns out, it's not just their dresses that match — they all happen to share the same new boyfriend! They apparently don't mind sharing and finally mention the lucky guy's name: Santa. That's right, Old Saint Nick himself. The ladies are positively smitten by their festive fella as they list all their favorite qualities about being with Mr. Claus.
It's so absurd and amazing at the same time. SHARE with your friends if you got a laugh!
