Horror movies constantly use elevators as a setting for some of their scariest scenes. The lights go out, the elevator stops and no one know what will happen next…and then BAM! Something jumps out of the darkness, or the elevator begins speeding down the elevator shaft.
The movies may make elevators seem eerie and daunting, but in real life, people use elevators on a daily basis, heading up to work and down for their lunch break, or in the mall, at the doctor's office, and just about anywhere else you might go. When you're just trying to get from place to place on time, and the sun is still shining, you're not expecting anything out of the ordinary…and that's exactly why pranksters pick elevators when choosing prime locations for the next scary prank video.
Much like the Brazilian elevator prank, magician Andy Gross gets his prankees right where he wants them before magically separating himself in two. Once they are in the elevator and the doors are beginning to shut, that's when Andy makes his big and extremely impressive move, scaring the daylights out of just about everyone who is pranked. Some of the people run, most of them scream, and others are frozen with fear. Whatever your reaction might be, you have to admit this would scare you, too!
