While we wait for The Voice to return here in the states, I decided to take a peek at some of the talented folks who've taken that leap of faith on the U.K. version of the show. As soon as I saw this young lady roll her unique instrument out, I knew I had to hear her performance!
Anna McLuckie was just 17 years old when she sang for the judges in 2014, but her abilities clearly go far beyond her age. The soft-spoken teen explains how her vocals are more subtle, and seems nervous that her harp might overpower her during the audition.
But she had nothing to worry about as she starts plucking away at a stripped-down version of "Get Lucky" — an adorable homage to her own last name.
Anna only sings a few lines before judge and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson is convinced to turn his chair for her. You can see just how affected he is by the haunting rendition, even tearing up as she continues to sing.
The other judges are just as moved by Anna's performance, but wonder if it's worth attempting to fight Wilson for a spot on their own team. Pop star Kylie Minogue says she has goosebumps and later explains how she was swayed to stay put by Wilson's "puppy dog eyes."
