Dad Puts A Watch On His Baby’s Wrist. Now Keep Your Eye On The Screen…

From precious photo shoots to keeping the baby's gender a surprise, there are plenty of fun ways to finally introduce your newborn baby to the world. But one family decided to ditch the conventional ways, opting for a more technically savvy one.

The video shows the proud father using the Apple Watch Sport to record his newborn son's heartbeat. The Apple Watch features heart rate sensors that allow the wearer to share their heartbeat with friends and loved ones. The watch screen lights up and a heart is then shown on the display of the Apple Watch as the beating heart is picked up by the sensors mounted on the bottom of the watch.

"Our first child was born, and we used an Apple Watch Sport to send his heartbeat to our distant family members it was a really awesome experience that we couldn't have done without the Apple Watch," the proud mom wrote on YouTube.

When the pulse detector successfully finds the baby's heartbeat, it is measured and stored. Then, the heartbeat can be sent to family members who could not be there for the birth.

Personally, I think this is such a heartwarming moment to have captured. This seems like a trend that will be catching up with many parents who want to record another aspect of their baby’s growing up.
