At the age of 7, Audrey Nethery has already gone through much more than a lot of adults. She has a very rare blood disorder called Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA), which makes it so her body can't produce red blood cells nor circulate oxygen. This means that she has to get constant blood transfusions so that her anemia doesn't spiral out of hand and become fatal.
Her condition, however, doesn't stop her from letting her big, beautiful personality shine through! A video of her dancing to one of her favorite songs by Selena Gomez went viral not that long ago. She's got so much gusto in such a tiny body that you'd never be able to tell how sick she is by looking at her. The whole internet began rooting for this little fighter at that moment.
During a meet and greet at one of Selena Gomez's concerts, the little superstar got to meet her hero.
Not only did she get to meet her, but Selena started their own little dance party right then and there, and posted it on Instagram, captioning it with "Finally got to meet this sweetheart — she owned it fully."
What a wonderful moment for Nethery! And what a little star! It's so wonderful when huge stars like Selena Gomez take the time to appreciate and care for fans like Nethery.
