If you thought America's Got Talent produced some amazing acts and performers, then you need to check out the show's down under sister, Australia's Got Talent.
While most of their artists don't often cross over into the states, the winners have a record of topping the Australian charts just as much as the American winners do here. And the young, talented winner Jack Widgen is no exception.
In 2011, the fifth season of Australia's Got Talent was just starting to air, documenting the auditions in Sydney, when a blonde 14-year-old brought the audience to their feet. Jack started singing at the age of 7, which helped bring him out of his shell and open up. With the dream of becoming Australia's Justin Bieber, Jack takes the stage in front of the judges.
At first, when he announces that he'll be performing Whitney Houston's hit song "I Have Nothing," the judges and the audience are a bit skeptical that such a youngster could pull it off. However, at 1:50, their doubts are lifted as his angelic voice glides perfectly through every note, and then, at 2:35, the song comes to a climax and the audience bursts into applause.
Tears are shed, dreams are made, and one of the judges even proclaims that Jack has made her proud to be Australian. You have to see it to believe it!
