The miracle of birth can be experienced by all in some way — whether it's by giving birth, or by witnessing a birth. Any baby being born is precious, whether it is human, or one of our furry friends. But what about the animals we don't keep as pets? What about the scary, scaly predators we don't often think of as "cute"? They were once tiny babies, too — and if you saw them just after birth, you would realize that they were once adorable. Just check out this baby snake, who took his first breath after coming out of his shell! Even this tiny chameleon, nicknamed "Panther" tugged at our heartstrings!
This baby alligator is no different. He may grow up to be a fearsome predator with large, gnashing teeth, but for now, we can appreciate him the way he is: a tiny newborn, ready to take his first breath.
The egg's first cracks don't reveal much of what is inside, but when part of the shell finally gives way, you see it: his snout pokes out slightly. And when he turns his head, you see how large his eyes are.
But watch for the moment the baby breaks free from his shell — it's a moment straight out of Jurassic Park!
