Levy was just a newborn baby lamb when he was found all alone on the side of a remote highway.
His mother had fallen off of a truck that was on its way to a slaughterhouse. She passed away not long after giving birth to him.
Luckily, a kindhearted truck driver noticed the baby lamb, and immediately brought him to the vet.
That's how he ended up at Greener Pastures Sanctuary, his new forever home in a town in Western Australia.
Today, he is alive and well — and much healthier and stronger than he had ever been, just like this baby calf that was saved with CPR.
He is the first rescue sheep on the farm sanctuary, and also happens to be the ambassador of Stop Live Exports, an anti-cruelty group that is working to end live exports of farm animals.

A few years ago, a truck driver was traveling down the side of a highway in Western Australia when he spotted something tiny and highly unusual.
It turned out to be a newborn baby lamb, lying near his mother, who had passed away on the side of the road.
The baby lamb was immediately taken to a veterinary hospital for emergency care.
Afterward, he was transported to Greener Pastures Sanctuary, a farm sanctuary located in Western Australia.
Once there, he was put under the care of founder Rachael Parker, who named him Levy.
“It seems his mom was being transported to either a [slaughterhouse] or, worse, a live export ship, when she fell from the truck she was on,” Parker explained to the Dodo.
“She managed to give birth to Levy before passing away.”
Left alone without any protection, Levy became prey to many lurking predators.
A group of crows pecked at him, and left many scabs on his body (but thankfully did not injure his eyes).
Parker bottle-fed little Levy around the clock for the first few weeks of his new life at the sanctuary, until he grew more comfortable in his new home.
Fast-forward a couple of years, and Levy has grown into a strong, sturdy, and healthy sheep.
He has become the ambassador of Stop Live Exports, an anti-cruelty group that is working to end live exports of animals.
“Levy had such an amazing temperament, we decided to see how he coped going out and about as an ambassador,” said Parker. “He was perfect.”
Tour groups to the sanctuary love interacting and playing with Levy, who is incredibly affectionate and social.
Levy has even appeared in the local newspaper, to attend marches and protests to help bring awareness to the practice of live animal transportation.
In his spare time, Levy loves to play with the other animals on the farm, including the other sheep, a few goats, an alpaca, two pigs, and the owners’ three dogs!
We are so happy that Levy’s life was saved on that fateful day — and that he has turned out to be one of the most impressive figures in the fight for animal equality.
