‘Unstoppable’ Baby Born With No Hands Decides To Try Drumming After Watching Mom

If you’ve ever had the thought “No, I can’t,” prepare to be inspired by the tiniest little go-getter. Bryson Cox is only a little over one year old but has more grit than most adults. Born to parents Tyler and Bonnie, Bryson arrived in the world without any feet or hands, but it has never stopped him from living his best life.

On their family TikTok, the Coxes have chronicled all of his incredible, limit-defying milestones. Recently, the little fighter was watching his mom gently beat on a toy drum with a maraca and he saw no reason why he couldn’t try. Though he struggled at first, he didn’t let that discourage him.

To his mama’s amazement, and to the astonishment of over 3.2 million viewers on TikTok, he used his arms to grab the instrument and put a few gentle pats onto the drum.

Bonnie sweetly captioned the video: “Every time we think a limit exists for Bryson, he proves us wrong. Do we have a future drummer on our hands??! #limbdifferenceawareness #luckyfin #starfish #fyp #adaptive

The internet was bursting with joy over the inspiring moment.

“Bryson, all your internet aunties are so proud!! Kiddo there’s nothing you cannot do,” cheered one follower.

“He doesn’t know he ‘can’t do’ something, so he does it,” one follower stated. “Keep giving him that space.”

Back in September 2024, Bonnie and Tyler took the time to answer some common questions about Bryson, one of them being how he ended up being born without hands or feet.

“We don’t know,” Bonnie said with a laugh in the TikTok. “We’ve done some genetic testing, we had several ultrasounds and there’s been no cause found thus far. He has no other health issues that we know of, he is developing completely normally. He was born a little bit early but he was born completely healthy and happy and growing very fast.”

The parents went on to explain that they found out at 20 weeks that he was going to be born as “as special as he is,” and one of the comforts they took was that they “knew he was going to have a special story,” they shared in the video.

Bryson has prosthetic legs fitted for him and is learning to stand and walk in them as he grows. Prosthetic arms could be down the line, but they need to wait a bit until he grows more, according to Inspire More.

Ultimately this happy and healthy baby isn’t letting anything stop him and has the entire internet cheering for him and his incredible parents.
