This is SO beautiful! If you love elephants, you'll absolutely love this video.
According to the video's description, a baby elephant was rescued from the remote Northern Frontier in Kenya, having fallen down a man-made well in a sandy river bed. Named Wass, this little calf was rescued alongside 2 baby ostriches, who have now all found a safe home at the DSWT Nairobi Nursery.
Sadly, Wass was unable to be rescued with his herd, but there was a light at the end of this tunnel: as soon as DSWT workers rescued Wass, they were also met with two other orphans: an adorable pair of ostrich chicks.
Wass is being rehabilitated by caring professionals, and will soon join up with a new herd of elephant friends. In the meantime, these ostriches clearly have his back.
