Baby Snake Takes His First Breath, Internet Falls In Love

Billy Collett, head of Reptiles & Venom at The Australian Reptile Park, recently posted an incredible moment on Facebook and the internet is falling madly in love. Watch in awe as a tiny newborn snake hatches from his egg and takes his very first breath — and boy, is it a doozy of a first breath! This little guy is a King Brown or Mulga snake, and he'll grow up to be both highly dangerous and venomous. In the meantime, we can enjoy how tiny and fragile he is as he exercises and stretches those amazing jaws. It almost looks like he's yawning!

Even if you're one of the many who suffer from a fear of snakes, you must admit — it's rather incredible to watch a life begin before your very eyes.

According to Wikipedia, the King Brown or Mulga snake is one of the longest venomous snakes in the world and the second longest in Australia. These snakes are known to birds, mammals, frogs and other reptiles — even other King Browns.

Since this snake is equally cute as he is dangerous, I still wouldn't want him anywhere near me — but I absolutely love watching him take his first powerful breath. If you agree, please SHARE this video with your friends on Facebook!
