Who doesn’t love a nice, relaxing day at the beach? That’s what these lucky vacationers traveled to Sri Lanka for. However, because they just so happened to be in the right place at the right time, what they actually got was even better than they could have imagined.
At first glance, you might think that this beach is swarming with crabs, but with a closer look you can see that the awkward-moving, adorable, shelled army is actually comprised of newly hatched baby sea turtles. It's hard to say just how many of these little guys there are, but there's obviously enough to draw quite the crowd as they fearlessly run across the sand and jump into the water that will become their home.

Being able to witness the natural phenomenon of these newborn animals instinctually making their way to the ocean is such a cool experience that there are entire companies in Sri Lanka that take interested parties on two-day turtle-hatching tours to get them their fill of cuteness.
