A post is circulating on Facebook about a game a husband and wife played with a waiter. The post is going viral because some think it is brilliant while others think it's a cruel trick to play on a server.
Others are questioning whether or not the post is real. But even if it isn't, waiters have claimed that customers do in fact do this to them!
While the husband and wife were out to dinner, he decided to lay his tip on the table in singles before they had even ordered. He didn't tell his waiter why the money was there, to confuse her even more.
Many feel that this is a way to taunt servers, who are often paid less than minimum wage and live off tips, rather than reward good service.
To see how the game works see what the husband did below and let us know if you would ever do this to a server in the comments!

The husband wrote:
So I took the wife out to dinner last night and we always talked about doing this.

You put 5 singles out on the table at the beginning of dinner for the waiter/waitress to see.

Don’t say anything to them. If they mess up, you take a dollar away, and so on. At the end of dinner how much ever is left, is their tip. You will receive the best service of your life.

The waitress kept looking at it as if she was confused. But she played her cards right, did a great job, and received the whole 5 bucks. I did take away a dollar because she forgot the bread, but she bounced back and gave us extra.

All in all a great dinner with my love and a good dinner experiment we both wanted to see play out. Try it, you will be surprise!

The post has been circulating on social media and many wonder if it's true. Even if this particular case isn't, server Patrick Maguire shared his account of a customer doing the exact same thing to him, only with $20. It appears that many diners enjoy playing this "game" with their servers.
