Makeup guru BellaDune proved that wearing makeup doesn't make you a "clown" even if you look like a clown!
Bella created this video of "extreme color correction, highlight and contour" to prove a point about women who wear makeup.
"Basically it is to send a message: Even though you don't need this amount of makeup or any amount of makeup at all to feel or look beautiful. And let's face it, makeup is fun. It's a way of expressing yourself," she said.
I can't help but think of makeup artist Nikkie, who also stood up for a woman's right to transform herself with a little lipstick and foundation.
Bella says that because she expresses herself through makeup as an art form, people make rude and nasty comments about her. They've even called her a clown.
“I cannot tell you how many times I have been called a clown and many other names and been hated on because of the way that I use this art form, and I just did this to show you what a real payasa looks like," she says.
Payasa translates to clown in Spanish. Her video now has 1.5 million views, women who have also felt teased for enjoying makeup are showing their support.
"My boyfriend says I look like a clown and he prefers me with light to no makeup. But I don't give two sh*ts what he or anyone says either. You go girl!" one commenter said.
Perhaps the best part of it all, this technique totally works and it's become a trend on Instagram called #ClownContouring.

It looks silly, but when done correctly, the results can be flawless.

After being called a clown one too many times, makeup guru BellaDune showed the world how good a clown can look.

At the end of the day, makeup is a personal choice and not anyone else's business.
