So many teenage girls dream of their prom night, a momentous occasion for looking and being treated like real-life princesses. The fact 16-year-old Bethany Crocker was still alive to see her prom was a dream all in itself. Bethany was born with a rare polycystic kidney disease and her parents were advised to terminate the pregnancy. If her kidneys fail, which is likely, Bethany will go on to dialysis before needing a kidney transplant.
To help make his daughter's prom experience extra special, Bethany's dad Derek took to Facebook to ask for volunteers — and who else but a motorcade of tough bikers responded to the call. Derek's post was shared more than 700 times, and the result was a spectacular prom entrance Bethany and her family will never forget.
Alongside her date Evan, Bethany was escorted to prom in a black Ferrari by over 100 kindhearted bikers. As she made her way into London's Copthorne Hotel, onlookers cheered and clapped while the riders revved and roared their engines. "It was the best entrance this town has ever seen – for total strangers to come together in that number for a girl who has been seriously ill is absolutely heartwarming," her dad proudly proclaimed.
The Ferrari was lent to the family by a stranger named Darren. What shocked Derek was the fact it was Darren's son's prom that same night, but he gave Bethany the Ferrari instead! Darren also made a donation to the hospital's children's wards so they could purchase new toys on behalf of Bethany.
Bethany and her family regularly attend church where everybody prays for her. This miracle teen — who wasn't expected to live past the age of two — was blown away by the amount of bikers that showed up. She couldn't believe the grand entrance was all about her.
