When Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough joined forces with Mark Ballas for "trio week" on Dancing with the Stars, the performance was nothing short of incredible.
While Bindi and Derek stunned before with several dance routines, including their debut performance and the Viennese waltz, this one was arguably the most unique.
The trio was unforgettable as they performed a contemporary jazz routine to Nathan Lanier's "Resolve," thanks to the creativity of the Derek and Mark.
"When Mark and Derek create together, it's crazy," Bindi said.
The performance included a wireframe box and a special rope, which Bindi was able to master. (Just watch her go at 1:50 and again at 2:40!)
The judges were completely blown away, maybe more so than they had ever been with a performance by Bindi.
“A totally compelling and intriguing work of genius,” said judge Bruno Tonioli. “It really depicted that internal struggle between light and darkness. No matter what life throws at you, your inner light will never be extinguished.”
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba added: “That was not a trio. This was not Dancing with the Stars. That was like a professional, contemporary dance company.”
To no surprise, the bold dance earned them a perfect score.
