Birth Mother Waits Nervously In The Crowd To Surprise Son She’s Never Met

When Robby Gilbert's adoptive mother — the woman who raised him — died, he decided to find his biological mother. Robby is a veteran high school assistant coach. His wife, Amy, decided to go behind his back for an incredible surprise.

After Robby tracked down his mother, he spoked with her on the phone. They were supposed to meet a week later, but Amy had something else in mind. She contacted his biological mother, Tish Myatt, and then flew her to Georgia from her Kentucky home.

Robby is a high school football coach. Amy wanted Tish to see her son in action, doing what he loves. Tish had put her son up for adoption when she became pregnant as a teenager, 40 years earlier.

Robby had no idea she was waiting in the crowd the entire time. Tish nervously waited, until finally she was able to embrace her first-born son. It was an emotional moment.

“It’s a dream come true,” Robby said. “I’m just happy. I’m happy.”

Tish admitted that she thought of Robby every day for the past 40 years.

“Every day of my life. Every day of my life. Everyday of my life. I could not be more blessed with this human being," she said.

Tish also had a son and daughter, and they were also in on the surprise. The mother and son now plan on beginning a new relationship together.
