Mom Gives Birth Without Epidural, Is In Total Disbelief Of Baby’s Giant Body

When Natashia Corrigan first took a look at her newborn baby, she was in complete and total shock. Her son, Brian Jr., was not what she expected, though he was certainly what she'd hoped for.

Brian Jr. weighed a whopping 13.4 pounds. Funnily enough, Natashia says she had always wanted a "fat baby" — and that's exactly what she got.

Doctors told Natashia that her son would be heavier than the average baby because he weighed nine pounds at just 36 weeks. The image of Natashia holding her enormous son for the first time quickly went viral.

The adorable, chubby baby is the apple of his mother's eye, and is the joy of his father, Brian Liddle. Still, the family had a bit of a scare at first, considering that Natashia gave birth almost completely naturally.

"It was a bit scary this morning and now everyone is fine. Mum's fine, the baby's fine," said the proud father.

Natashia was told that her son would be heavier than other babies. Despite knowing this in advance, doctors were still stunned when he was born at 13.4 pounds.

He was the largest baby ever born at Mercy Hospital.

"I dreamed of a little fat baby," Natashia said. "I've always wanted a little fat baby and now I've got a big one."

"I think I was in a bit of shock because the birth was natural, but I only had gas so I was still in a bit of shock from that," she continued.

The baby boy was named Brian Jr. after his dad. He was born at 40 weeks and five days. He is believed to be the heaviest baby in the region. Clearly, his mother wouldn't have it any other way.

“I’ve been waiting a long time for today,” Natashia said.
