After seeing a photo of Jasmine, Sandra Coudray immediately fell in love.
Jasmine, a unique-looking calico cat, was found by rescuers roaming the streets in France with no place to call home. Soon after her rescue, they realized she was blind.
“My mother saw a photo of Jasmine on Facebook from Association Adoption Feline and immediately showed it to me. She stole my heart right at that instant,” Sandra, Jasmine’s new owner, explained to LoveMeow. “When I saw her, she was even more beautiful than the pictures. After completing the adoption papers, we left with her.”
While many rescued animals remain skeptical of their new owners — like this little guy who is afraid to get into his human’s car — Jasmine and Sandra have come a long way. At first, Jasmine was scared of human contact, but now snuggles with her new mom every night.

In spite of her very large eyes and strange fur coloring, something about Jasmine made Sandra fall in love right away when she saw pictures of her online.
“I immediately wanted to adopt her… as I previously lived with a cat who had become blind with age," Sandra told LoveMeow.
Over time, Jasmine became trusting of her new owner.
“Last time I went to Normandy for a few days to see my family and left her in the care of my brother," said Sandra. The cat waited patiently on the bed for her owner to come home.
Even though she is blind, nothing seems to slow her down.
Many animals adjust surprisingly well to losing their eyesight, but living as a stray can take its toll on any animal, especially a blind one.
Jasmine was not always blind. Malnutrition from living on the streets is thought to have been the cause.
She is very fortunate to have been found and adopted when she was.
Not only is Jasmine doing better with human interaction, she is doing well with other pets, too.
This lucky feline has taken well to her new, loving home.
It's truly a wonder someone didn't scoop Jasmine off of the street sooner! This calico beauty has the most adorable wide eyes and very unique coloring. It almost looks like she's two different cats put together.
Sandra and Jasmine are lucky to have found each other. You don't need two working eyes to recognize that the love between this cat and her owner is forever.
Sandra said, "Now she cannot do without us, and we can't do without her. She brings us so much joy and love."
Unsurprisingly, this beautiful cat wins the hearts of anyone she lays eyes on!
