Anyone who has ever worn makeup and applied it themselves knows that mastering the art of makeup application is a skill that takes quite a bit of practice…and a lot of trial and error along the way. If you don't believe me, just reference one of your old photographs and ask yourself if you would ever consider doing your makeup (or hair) like you did just 10 or 20 years ago!
Even though women have been wearing makeup for decades, the techniques and style continually change. Just check out a video made by Cut Films that shows some of the amazing and glamorous looks from the past 100 years to see what I mean.
With all of the different trends, brands, techniques, and products to keep up with, the task of finding and maintaining that "perfect" look can be pretty daunting. While many women still visit the beauty counters, and specialized stores and salons for help, the go-to for many women nowadays is YouTube.
With an endless amount of instructional videos on just about everything you can want to learn to do, YouTube is an awesome resource that can be accessed without even leaving your home.
Since you can find pretty much anything on YouTube, it should come as no surprise that this next video exists — yet it's still amazing to watch. Lucy, a girl who has just recently lost her sight, applies makeup as flawlessly as any other "beauty guru," all without being able to see what she is doing.
Her video helps other people who struggle with vision problems and blindness, while also being informative to those who do not have any visual impairment, which we think perfectly accomplishes her goal to "bridge the gap between the disabled and the perfectly abled."
Please SHARE this video if Lucy inspires you!
