Bobby McFerrin is a one-of-a-kind musician, hands down. There is just simply no one quite like him. He's invented ways of turning his voice into an instrument that no one had ever attempted before, and the way he uses his entire body to produce different sounds will forever be totally incredible. I don't think that there is a single performance where he doesn't sing every single note in tune, and that's a huge accomplishment when using an instrument so prone to error as the human voice.
His live performances are always a hoot for the audience. He really likes to make jokes and banter with his fans, and he even likes to include them in the concerts. One of his favorite things to do is to do a call and response game, that way everyone can easily get involved and have an awesome time!
In this particular concert, though, he asked the audience to do something a little different… and the outcome is beautiful! While McFerrin flawlessly sings a complicated Bach prelude, the audience sings along with the haunting melody of "Ave Maria." Not only is this combination of classical melodies so beautiful and captivating… to use the human voice for a Bach prelude is so, so impressive! As usual, McFerrin doesn't miss a note!
