Amber Luke from Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia, has spent $10,000 over the course of seven years transforming her body with tattoos, piercings, and other body modifications like a split tongue.
One of her most shocking body modifications is her blue eyes, which she had permanently dyed. Because of her split tongue and blue eyeballs, Amber has named herself "Blue Eyes White Dragon." She says she truly loves getting tattoos and body modifications, and it's plain to see.
Amber told the Daily Mail Australia in 2018, that she has over 50 tattoos but that she's losing count. She admitted that she started getting inked at 16, and she compares it to an addiction.
Besides her "Blues Eyes White Dragon" moniker, Amber is a self-described "body positive tattoo enthusiast."
"As soon as I turned 16, I was inspired by those around me to get tattooed. I craved to know what the feeling was like," she told the Daily Mail. "I developed an addiction at 16 years of age. By the time I hit 18, I already had three tattoos. And when I turned 18, I decided to get my first big piece."
She told the Daily Mail how dangerous her various body modifications were, including her blue eyes, which left her temporarily blind.
Amber had a blue tattoo inked onto the whites of her eyeballs.
"The procedure for getting my eyes done was only 40 minutes," she told the Daily Mail. "It was very intense and very painful. My eyes got held open while a syringe was injected into my eye four times per eye. I was blind for three weeks."
Amber said she originally wanted to get her eyes blacked out, but came around to the idea of blue when her body mod artist said it would make her irises pop.
"My tongue split was very uncomfortable as well; I wasn’t able to speak or eat for a week afterwards," she said of her other major procedure.
Although it's difficult to see the modification, Amber had surgery to give her ears a pointed, elf-like look.
"My ears were a very simple procedure; a silicone implant was inserted into the tips of my ears to shape them," she explained.
Back in May 2018, Amber shared a rare photo from before she began her transformation. She simply captioned the Instagram, "pre-get up."
However, she told the Daily Mail a different story:
"I see myself as very plain looking when looking at before and after photos. I absolutely hated the way I used to look. I was boring."
In December, she shared another #tbt and captioned it, "flashback to when I was bare, struggling with life and didn't know who I was."
When she uses an Instagram filter, she looks unreal.
Amber calls fellow Insta-famous body modification enthusiast Ethan Bramble an inspiration. At only 21 years old, Ethan considers himself the "world's most modified youth."
With all her Instagram followers, there is bound to be some negativity, but Amber just brushes it off.
"I have plenty of people who try to bring me down because of the choices I've made to my body, but that's just it; [it's] my body," she added.
Amber said her next move is to sharpen her fang teeth to look more like a vampire but cautions her followers to think seriously about body modification before acting on it.
