When a man found a mysterious wooden box in a smelly dumpster, he had no idea he was about to make one of the most bizarre discoveries ever.
Hundreds and hundreds of pages of illustrations, hand-drawn maps, magazine clippings, and hastily scrawled writings were nestled in the box, all culminating in some of the oddest, most out-of-this-world and unsettling creations possible.
Though there's no way to find the person who wrote and drew these terrifying creations, I have to wonder why they were thrown away to begin with. Was it a family member throwing away a recently deceased relatives belongings? What's the story behind the story? We'll probably never know.
Regardless of what happened to the person who made these claims, this was important to them, and could very well have been their whole life's work. It really goes to show you that you should take the time to look through things before hastily tossing them out! You never know what you could be throwing away!

"Roughly 29" by 38" on the exterior. It smells of basements and dampness," wrote the Imgur user.
"Most pieces are around 20" x 30", a number of the pages in here are blank."
There are incredibly detailed drawings of multiple continents.
This person could easily have gotten a job as a cartographer.
"They all have a hole in the middle, perhaps to be overlaid on something else," the Imgur user continued.
Why do you think someone would have done this? Just for fun?

Judging by these photos, the person who created these drawings either had an amazing imagination, or had been taken to a very detailed world.

After years of studying "the event," this seems to be the final product.
"It looks like a patent application, quite large and very detailed."
