If you've ever been in a dance-off, then you know you have to bring your best moves – funky twists and turns, and channel '80s and ‘90s freestyle hip hop. Basically, the more “old-school”, the better!
Roxanne Henderson’s little boy, Ellis, did just that as he lit up the “Taste of Cincinnati” festival during Memorial Day weekend by busting out some killer dance moves.
We’ve seen some crazy talent from other young dancers, such as the tiny salsa duo that tears up the stage with an incredible routine and the Tahitian dancer who astonishes crowds with her powerful hip moves.
In a video posted by Henderson, Ellis shows the crowd what he’s made of with his old-school dance moves. He then takes it a step further and motions his hands, challenging a Cincinnati police officer to a dance-off.
The police officer gladly accepts and boogies his way over to the boy. Ellis comes back at him with some more fierce moves, including the “Running Man,” and continues to wow onlookers.
“My Little Red Man representing His Generation having a good time with Cincinnati's Finest,” Henderson wrote on Facebook.
Lastly, the police officer dances over to Ellis and places his hat on top of his head as the crowd cheers. Ellis responds again, and the police officer gives him a handshake and tells him that he's won.
“I remember when he would bounce to a beat, as a baby. He still has it,” added Alison Rothbaum, another fan of Ellis’ dance moves.
