It's always heartwarming to see people stepping up to give back to their communities. It's even more touching when these people aren't adults, but teenagers and young children.
It's hard to forget about the Iowa teen who uses his own money to help the homeless people in his neighborhood. There's also the bullied kid who decided to throw local police officers a party as a thank you for their work.
Below are two other young kids who are making a positive difference in their community and deserve to be commended.
These two Richmond, VA boy scouts want to make sure that nobody in their hometown goes hungry. In turn, they are walking from door to door, placing grocery bags on doorsteps, and asking residents to fill them with "canned goods and nonperishable items." The boys will then return to pick up the filled bags so they can be donated to those less fortunate.
"There's a lot of people in Richmond who are in need of food and we want to help them," one of the boy scouts, Zach Hines, told local news station WTVR CBS 6.
