I love going to weddings. While some of the traditions can be seriously outdated, they're still a lot of fun when you're with your family and friends.
However, every time someone grabs the microphone and invites all the single ladies to the dance floor for the tossing of the bouquet, it's always a little awkward. One time I actually caught the bouquet at a friend's wedding, someone completely swiped it out of my hands. Months later, that woman was married to her new boyfriend. As much as I cringe at being in the spotlight during this moment at a wedding, I can see why this idea of passing along the good luck has lasted for so many centuries.
In the following video that newlywed Tyler Pulse shared with LittleThings, we see his beautiful, blushing bride Chelsea on their big day. By this time, they've been married for a few hours and are enjoying some fun on the dance floor when Chelsea calls the girls together to throw her bouquet. As you can see, everyone was pretty excited to see who would catch the flowers, but she didn't want to leave anything to chance.
Instead of throwing her bridal bouquet, Chelsea shocks everyone when she turns around and gives it to one woman who never, ever saw it coming. The bride's cousin, Megan, has been dating her boyfriend, Brett, for eight years when he decided to conspire with Chelsea to propose in a really special way.
While I normally wouldn't condone stealing the spotlight away from the bride and groom on their wedding day, it seems like everyone was more than happy for this couple.
