Just like the famous 1960s Neil Sedaka song laments, “Breaking up is hard to do.” Britney Spears and Sam Asghari know this firsthand. Sam filed for divorce on August 16, 2023. They were married for 14 months but had been together for six years.
Sam opened up to People magazine about this. He has no hard feelings about the relationship and is glad it happened. He understands our past shapes our present self. He also gave an update about what he is focusing on now.
“It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. And people grow apart and people move on,” Sam stated. He would rather celebrate his time with Britney.
It wasn’t easy for Sam to end his marriage. He is not going to make things worse by talking trash. “I've always hated people leaving a certain relationship — and at some point they told each other they love each other and they sat at the same table and ate food [together] — so I never understood when people part ways [and] they talk badly about each other,” he explained. “That's something I'm never going to do because I had nothing but an amazing experience and a great life, and that's always going to be part of my life, a chapter of my life.”

Sam turned 30 on March 3, 2024. He is looking forward to continuing to build his career as an actor, dancer, model, and fitness trainer. A healthy lifestyle is also important to him. He no longer thinks 30 is old.
“I used to think people that were 30 years old were so old when I was in high school. But every person I talk to, the older they get, the more they get to enjoy life because with age comes wisdom and experiences,” he mused. “And I think experiences in life are beautiful, so that's something that I'm just super excited to just be fulfilled with.”

Sam is currently single. The only woman in his life is his dog Porsha. Britney and Sam first met in October of 2016 on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video.
He supported her through her legal battles over her 13-year conservatorship. The couple got engaged in September 2021. The following month, Britney’s conservatorship was terminated. In April 2022, the couple announced that they were expecting. Sadly the following month they announced that they lost the baby. They were married in June 2022. Celebs including Drew Barrymore, Madonna, and Paris Hilton attended their big day.
