Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
How come nothing good ever happens whenever I go to the airport?! I'm always plagued by crowds and delays, but it seems like these days more and more people are getting awesome surprises before they take flight. Just take a look at this awesome "Mamma Mia" flash mob that took place at an airport in Poland. You have no idea what I would do to have been a part of this amazing moment!
In the following video, we see the casts of two other Broadway shows surprise some unsuspecting travelers, only this time there is one major difference. Unlike the "Mamma Mia" flash mob, what we see in the following video was completely unrehearsed. After their flights were delayed, the casts of Disney on Broadway's The Lion King and Aladdin had some time on their hands while waiting at Laguardia Airport in New York. Naturally, they decided to do what they do best and add in a little friendly competition with a good, old-fashioned sing-off!
I still get chills every time I hear "The Circle of Life" and other songs from The Lion King, since I grew up loving them and still think it's one of the best shows in production. However, I have to admit that the best part of this video is when the guy who plays Genie in Aladdin does a freestyle rap about their cast around 3:05, and when the cast sings "Arabian Nights" around 6:45.
This video is just as great as the time this Lion King cast broke out in song mid-flight, and it has to be the only time I wouldn't mind getting stuck at the airport!
