She Saves A FORTUNE In Heating Costs Using THIS Simple Trick! I’m Definitely Trying This!

If you live in an especially cold part of the world, or you’ve got single-pane windows in your home or apartment, you’ve probably tried just about everything to insulate your space and save that few extra hundred dollars a year spent in heating costs.

Vlogger AlaskaGranny (admittedly probably an expert in this area) has a life hack for the ages, and it’s probably one of the last things you’d expect: bubble wrap! It’s much more affordable than those expensive heavy curtains and may already be laying around your house!

Here’s how this house hack works: she fills an old spray bottle with water and spritzes the window and the bubble side of the wrap, and then just “snuggle it in there,” she says. No adhesive, glue, or damaging products needed! Just some good old-fashioned H2O and a properly fitted piece of plastic.

The cool part is that the bubble wrap will stay in place for as long as you need it up, but it pulls away from the window easily when you’re finished with it, leaving no marks or stains. Pull the blinds and you’ve got yourself some extra insulation for just pennies.

And if you're hungry for more money-saving tips, try this house-cleaning trick that uses a Coke bottle, or this money saver that hacks the back of your toilet seat.
