Hero Bus Driver Gives Homeless Man The Shoes Off His Feet

A few years back, a bus driver named Kris Doubledee was driving his bus through downtown Winnipeg when he noticed a homeless man on the side of the road. It was freezing cold, and sadly the man was barefoot. Suddenly, Kris yelled, 'Hey buddy!' before pulling the bus over, walking off, and walking right up to the man who looked like he was in need.

Rewind to one day earlier, when Kris passed by the same man on the street, still barefoot. "I asked the Lord: Just ease his pain, because he has no shoes, right?" he said. And so the next day, the homeless man's pain was eased by the bus driver himself, who simply could not drive past the same man twice without doing anything.

The passengers seated inside the bus were confused, then blown away as they watched their driver take off his own shoes and hand them to the man. When Kris got back on the bus and resumed driving, a passenger named Denise asked him why gave away his shoes. Kris responded, "I couldn't stand seeing someone walking barefoot in this temperature like this." Denise said it was the most amazing thing she had ever seen.

To Kris, it was a simple act of kindness — but to everyone on that bus, it something they'd never forget. Please SHARE this awesome story with your friends on Facebook!
