Though most people will encounter a bully or hurdle because of our physical appearance at one point or another, sometimes the harshest bully is found right in the mirror.
With all the mixed messages the media sends about being too big or too small, too this or too that, you don't have to look very hard to find something "wrong" in the mirror. So many of us look at ourselves through a warped lens. Unfortunately, on a bad day we imagine that everyone else sees us with that same warped lens.
I can't help but recall the Dove social experiment, in which women were told to choose between a doorway marked "Average" and one marked "Beautiful." Sadly, most of the women chose to walk through the "Average" door because that is how most women are conditioned to see themselves.
In this next video, people stare into a mirror and confess all of their insecurities. One woman says she has struggled with weight loss, while another says she has "donkey legs."
What they don't realize is that the mirror is a two-way mirror and that they're being watched.
