True artists definitely think outside the box when creating their sculptures or paintings. But what about art that is edible? Well, that's exactly what Lara Clarke of Tasty Cakes and Erin Schwartz of Stacked Cakes do on a daily basis in their pastry shops.
That's right! Lara and Erin have combined their culinary and artistic skills to create some mind-blowing, beautiful (not to mention delicious!) works of tart… I mean art. Their methods vary with every piece they do, and we're certainly not going to give away any of their secrets, but the bakers insist that all of their works are 100% edible.
Both bakers have made sculpture-cakes ranging from intricate castles to Hollywood It-Girl Jennifer Lawrence to iconic cartoon characters.
SCROLL THROUGH the photos below for some truly incredible works of art. Next time someone you love has a birthday going around, maybe you'll have to step up your game and get them a fully customized cake made in their image!

Lara has even made some LIFE SIZE sculptures out of cake!
Including one of the Grinch himself. What would a grinch taste like...?
Well, this behind-the-scenes photo shows Lara using rice cereal treats as form!
Erin has some that are a little frightening (like this one of the Queen of England)...
...and some that bring back nostalgic memories!
Lara can make birthday cakes for young, like this replica of a 4 year old client.
And for the young of heart, like this woman who got a replica of her favorite guitar!
Here's Erin posing with an impressive, if not very appetizing, sculptures.
Another mouth-watering treat from Erin perfect for the holidays.
And a humorous one of Mount Rushmore.
Even "Johnny Depp" is a fan of Lara's.
Can you tell which Yoda is the cake Yoda? I can't!
And I hope Erin tells her customers that these aren't actually sushi rolls.
Here's are two more from Erin...
