DIY guru Peter Brown mixed sprinkles, glue, and wood to make something almost more awesome than cake (but let's face facts: nothing is better than cake, you guys): a sprinkle cake stand.
Though Peter says his daughters were a little upset their dad used all of the sprinkles they had at home for the project, he was satisfied with the end result. With a little time and effort, DIY projects can transform your home with interesting items, like this cardboard box turned treasure chest or this duck house made of a spool!
"I don't think I was quite prepared for how colorful this project would end up or how much of a mess it would leave in the shop! Still, I'm quite pleased with it," he said on Imgur.
Peter used epoxy resin to seal in the sprinkles. He also notes that, if sprinkles aren't your fancy, you can use anything from M&Ms and LEGOS to glitter or Skittles.
Remember, if you're afraid of all the fussy equipment, you can buy a wooden cake stand of your own and decorate it as such.
However, for those with a little more experience, Peter says the project is easy to pull off. "Besides the casting, this is a fairly simple project. Cast the top, turn the base, and glue them together. The most harrowing part was turning the edge of the resin."
