When Mike Vegas ordered a pizza and wings from Domino's last week, he got way more than he paid for.
According to Vegas, he ate just one slice before putting the rest in the fridge. He went back to work and didn't notice until hours later, when he started getting hungry again, that there was cold hard cash inside the box of wings he'd ordered!
"About 5 a.m., I got home from work and went to my refrigerator and pulled out what I thought was wings. It turned out to be 1,300 bucks," Vegas told ABC News.
"I wrote a Facebook post and of course there's a long list of people arguing you should keep it, you shouldn't keep it,you should keep it, you shouldn't keep it," he said. "I wanted to keep it, believe me. But I can't, I can't do that."
According to the news outlet, the delivery driver was on his way to the bank and had put the cash in the wings box. The driver didn't realize his mistake until it was too late.
Vegas returned the cash to a California Domino's Pizza, where General Manager Zia Mumtaz thanked him and offered Vegas free pizza for a whole year.
"Thank you so much for this, honest people are hard to find these days," Mumtaz said.
