There’s nothing like the determination of a feline to fit in an incredibly small space to prove that determination knows no bounds. This is especially hilarious when the cat in question is of comparatively large stature.
We’ve discussed before the many various reasons why cats seem to really enjoy being confined in small spaces — particularly cardboard cubes. Many animal experts theorize that cats enjoy boxes because they make them feel safe. When most of them is squeezed into a small space, there’s no immediate threat to them.
We’ve seen some incredible testaments of cardboard box enthusiasm here on LittleThings. For example, we posted a video of a large house cat who would literally give himself a running start, hoping that inertia would help him squeeze into the tiny square.
And this isn’t just a house cat thing, either. Researchers at Big Cat Rescue found that when they placed boxes in the pens of all sorts of different species of wild cats, they behaved like little baby kittens!
In the below video, one man tests the will of his kitty by putting out a series of boxes of various shapes and sizes. Maru proves that no box is too small.
