Evil Health Inspector Evicted This Cat From His Home. The Cat’s Response? Brilliant.

Some people say they’re not cat people. They feel felines are inferior to Fido. Cats are too serious, too aloof. Some meow-haters will even liken them to hissing, scratching, whiskered beasts.

But then, they meet the right kitty — one that plays fetch, guides the blind, or knows how to cunningly camouflage themselves — and there is a catastrophic shift in attitude. Suddenly cats are cool, clever, and even cute. These former dog-aholics drank the catnip-flavored Kool-Aid and will be on team tomcat for life.

Haven’t had this experience yet?

Meet Mango, one cool cat from Tiverton, U.K. who doesn’t give a rat’s tail what you think of him. Why? Because he’s too busy being Mango: The Kitty King of Tesco.

For four years Mango seemed to be living a peaceful life inside of a Tesco supermarket, snoozing on displays with his furry little limbs hanging off shelves stocked with supplies. Everyone, from the staff to the customers, adored Mango. In fact, he became a local celebrity — complete with a Facebook fan page — who was happy to snap pictures with anyone who passed by.

That was until The Man, aka the health inspector (who we’re betting has allergies) tried to evict him due to his “uncleanly” kitty ways.

The health inspector has, unfortunately, succeeded in keeping this Tesco-loving tabby out of the physical store, but that hasn’t destroyed Mango’s spirit! The I-do-what-I-want feline still hangs out outside the store, right by the entrance, where he can still be seen napping, nestling between potted plants, and being downright awesome to this very day.

And don’t worry! Though it seemed like Mango was living inside the store, he actually has a human owner and a warm, comfy home only a stone’s throw away from the store. That scamp!

Yet, despite the health inspector and his cute-killing ways, he can never erase the memory of Mango’s glory days. Like the time he…

Decided to take a catnap in a cardboard box.

Hey, the box does say “cat” on it. You can’t blame Mango for claiming it as his own.

The sign is for the spray cans, not the cat. There’s only one true Mango.
