Cats are way more interactive than many people give them credit for. They're not just totally independent creatures that have no interest in spending time with their humans. They love to play and cuddle and all those things you hope a pet will do.
We've seen our fair share of cats that "think they're dogs" by playing fetch. Like this little beauty who chases after the toy his owner keeps throwing across the room, or this cutie that plays along with a tiny soccer ball.
Yet, I don't think we've ever seen a cat imitate a dog quite like Barsik, the Russian cat that appears in the below video.
As the video begins, you see the cat's owners playing a game of fetch with the little kitty. And if you're thinking "oh, another cat playing fetch video" — just wait and see what the little guy does after returning the ball.
He drops the ball and then he keeps his mouth open and starts panting like a dog! Adorable! I don't think I've ever seen a cat do that before.
The game of fetch continues for a few more rounds while Barsik's owners speak to him in Russian, but that moment of panting is something I'll never forget seeing. How cool!
