This U.S. Soldier Was Preparing To Kill Himself.. Until A Cat Saved His Life Just In Time!

While deployed in Afghanistan, Staff Sgt. Jesse Knott found comfort in an unlikely new friend: a tabby cat that started coming around his outpost. After Knott noticed the cat had a wounded paw, he decided to step in and "adopt" the cat. Over the years, the cat — whom they called Koshka — became the unofficial mascot for he and his soldiers, providing comfort and love amidst the chaos of war.

As  time rolled on, Knott lost two of his good friends and fell into a deep depression. He planned to commit suicide. That's when Koshka stepped in and saved his life. The cat was purring and patting his face with his paw. The soldier couldn't get a moment to himself, as the cat climbed all over him. He couldn't help but smile and realized he couldn't give up. He credits the cat to saving his life during that rough time. Knott is now back in the U.S. — and brought back his furry hero.
