There’s something hilarious about our little ones discovering themselves in the mirror for the first time. And how can you blame them? My own reflection has startled me on occasion, too…
When my cat was just a little thing, he ran the full spectrum of emotions once he came to realize that there was another kitten roaming an invisible room just through the foyer of a large, glass rectangle that rested against the wall. This through-the-mirror Narnia didn’t actually exist, of course — but the way he saw it, there were other unattainable cats roaming within the confines of my apartment.
Frankie wasn’t the only one, either. We’ve shared a number of hilarious videos of cuties discovering themselves in mirrors, be they dogs, cats, or babies. In fact, one adorable cat had a similar reaction to my baby and dips behind the mirror in a futile attempt to figure out how his reflection is materializing. It must be awesome to be so easily entertained.
In the video below, we have yet another animal crisis of existence. This woman stumbled upon her poor kitty crying loudly and realized, heartbreakingly, that her cat had discovered his reaction in their reflective light fixture hanging from the ceiling and wanted to play.
