It’s been said that with the rise of digital television, reports of people claiming that their pets are watching TV have made a sharp increase. According to sciency-types much smarter than ourselves, the increase has something to do with the faster "flicker rate" of the eyes of dogs and cats. They can process flashing images faster than we can, so while the slower flicker rate of old-style television was adequate for our inferior human eyes, animals only saw it as a series of flashing images…or something like that.
Whatever the reason, naysayers and disbelievers alike will be silenced after watching this clip. YouTube user Geja Kobal's cat is definitely engrossed in his television program; it’s like someone told him to sit back and make himself comfortable. At any moment, we fully expect him to ask us to pass the popcorn.
