When it comes to eating, it's all about moderation. But if you're looking to cut some corners when counting calories, there's an awesome way to replace carbs without sacrificing flavor in the process — by using cauliflower!
Chef John of Food Wishes is here with a Cauliflower Pizza Crust recipe that's both tasty and upholds the undeniable deliciousness that is the traditional cheese pizza. It's also pleasantly textured and contains barely any carbs (perfect for a gluten-free lifestyle).
All kinds of cheeses are used for this technique, usually mozzarella, but Chef John went with a tart chèvre cheese to best simulate the fermented dough of a classic pizza. He also suggests you use parchment paper, instead of tin foil or plastic wrap.
You can also add minced garlic to the cauliflower for added flavor…yum! I've personally made this recipe several times, and it always tastes amazing, and crispy.
