We all have to start somewhere, even big shot celebrities.
Before the famous faces shown below became bonafide stars, they had to pay their dues with ordinary day jobs just like the rest of us. It can be hard to imagine Oscar winners standing behind the counter of a fast food restaurant — or standing outside of one in a silly costume to bring customers in, like one of the handsome fellas listed here.
But it's also good to know that none of these celebs were afraid of a hard day's work before making it big.
Who knows? Maybe you and one of your favorite stars shared the same type of early gig! Others, like Christopher Walken, went down much more bizarre paths for their first jobs.
Take a look to see how your favorite celebrities made money before they became stars.

1. Christopher Walken

The legendary actor revealed in an interview with IndieWire that he worked as an assistant to a lion tamer when he was just 16 years old.
In his words, "…[the tamer] would send them all out at the end and just leave this one old girl, and I would come in with my whip and I’d go like that and she’d sit up. But she was really more like a dog. It wasn’t really lion taming. She was very sweet."
2. Marilyn Monroe

The bombshell was famously photographed while working for a Radioplane Munitions Factory during World War II. The photos launched her modeling career that eventually led her to film.
