These 13 Celebrities Were Victims Of Death Hoaxes…See Their HILARIOUS Responses! #10 Is Genius

Being famous certainly has its perks, but it also has its disadvantages.

Fame leads to No. 1 singles that fans still sing years later – Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls” anyone? Other times it makes charity work more effective, like Aaron Rodgers’ touching involvement with Camp Hometown Heroes.

Yet, this kind of popularity also comes with bizarre fan encounters, a loss of privacy, and sometimes even a fear of assault from strangers. One of the weirdest of all is a death hoax.

I’m not sure why people find pleasure pretending that a celebrity has died, but it seems to happen fairly often. And, the fake death is usually accompanied by grim and believable details.

For example, in 2014 rapper Macklemore was pronounced dead in a “fiery car crash.” The hashtag “#RIPMacklemore” even began trending on Twitter. While Macklemore didn’t bother speaking on his death hoax, other celebrities have found ways to comically prove they’re alive.
