Cerberus was a rescue dog found on an open prison in Johannesburg in South Africa. He labeled as aggressive, and thus was scheduled to be put to sleep. But just in time, the SPCA allowed a young woman (YouTube user "22bradshaw") to work with the dog to see if there was any chance he could be rehabilitated. Instead of rushing the process, however, this amazing "dog listener" decided to wait until Cerberus was ready to trust a human. The only catch? She needed to earn his trust and begin bonding with him before he would be euthanized.
The following video follows Cerberus on his journey toward a brand-new life, which was posted to YouTube back in 2009. Day after day, our faithful animal hero visited Cerberus, getting closer and closer to him (both physically and emotionally). The poor dog saw human hands as weapons, so she had to be extremely careful and patient so as not to anger or threaten him. And on the sixth day, she called him over to her side.
What happened next is absolutely amazing, as the miracles didn't end there. Wait until you see what happened to Cerberus' starving puppy who was living at the same shelter…
God bless the men and women who dedicated themselves to giving shelter dogs a second chance! Please SHARE Cerberus' story with your friends on Facebook!
