Let's talk about those cheap plastic hangers that come with clothes from stores like Kmart and Target…
They may work on the racks, but once you get these hangers home, they snap in half almost instantly. While I'm usually all about cutting corners and saving money in every possible way, to me, these plastic hangers have less value than wire hangers… and I'm pretty much Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest when it comes to wire hangers.
I honestly never even thought twice about tossing these flimsy freebies, until I recently came across the following helpful video from YouTube hacker "Learn To Grow." Instead of throwing away the plastic hangers, she found that the better alternative is to repurpose the plastic clips for everyday use.
In the video, you will see that all you need for this simple life hack is the hanger and a small saw, a knife, or a sharp pair of scissors. These DIY clips make a great alternative to the normal chip clips you buy at the store, because no matter what kind of clip you use, they always seem to go missing. This way, you'll always have an extra or two on hand…and you'll never feel bad about throwing them away!
