Actress Shannen Doherty has been very open with her fans and the public about her recent struggle with breast cancer.
The star, who is best known for her television roles as Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Prue Halliwell in Charmed, has already undergone a mastectomy since her diagnosis and is currently receiving chemotherapy treatments to fight the disease.
When she sat down with comedian and TV host Chelsea Handler, Doherty spoke very candidly about the toll that her illness has taken on her and even touched on its effect on her marriage.
Handler, who is known as a tough and sarcastic personality, began to tear up at Doherty's candid and emotional story.
As soon as Doherty noticed that Handler was fighting back tears she told her not to cry, but her own tears soon began to fall.
The host threw her head back in an effort to keep the tears at bay, which seemed to work for the time being.
The two women continued their conversation, with Doherty mentioning her feelings toward her husband during her battle with a simple "I'm sorry, dude."
Though her statement was short, the gratitude for his support behind it is clear.
This snippet is just a brief moment of a longer interview that airs on Handler's Netflix show, aptly named Chelsea.
