It is not easy navigating blended families. Sometimes you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Chris Pratt is learning this firsthand.
Chris wrote a sweet tribute to his mother, wife, and mother-in-law on Instagram. Many are critical of the fact that he left out his ex-wife, Anna Faris, with whom he shares son Jack. We can only speculate if this was an actual diss, or how they handle their co-parenting relationship, or simply a forgetful moment.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers out there. Especially grateful today for Katherine. You’re a wonderful partner. You’ve provided me such a blessed life,” Chris began his caption of the photo of himself, Katherine, Maria Shriver, and his mother.
“Our two daughters are so lucky to have you and you’re the best step mama to Jack,” Chris gushed.
Many in the comments took issue with his post. One simply wrote “forgot someone….” Others took it further.
“It would not have killed you to acknowledge the mother of your first child by nam ♀️ like really!” another chimed in.
One user even called him “gross” for not acknowledging “the one who gave you your first child.”

“Take notes from Tom Brady, he included both his baby mamas,” advised another user. “It’s out of respect. It doesn’t have to be about an 'ex' it’s about your children’s mother who gave you a gift and takes care of that gift everyday. You should show appreciation. If your current wife gets jealous then she has issues. You don’t have to make a whole post about ana and a paragraph but at least mention her name along with the other mothers you praised.”
Other users think the naysayers should back off. “Ya’all are making way to big of deal out of this. Go pee in your own Cheerios and stay out of everyone else’s bowl of cereal. Just because you feel a certain way doesn’t mean everyone else needs to share those same feelings,” one user wrote, standing up for Chris.
Time will tell if Chris responds to those who want him to right this wrong.
