Mom Takes Pride In Her Christmas Display, Then Vandals Destroy Everything

Like many homeowners, Debbie Hardy takes great pride in her Christmas display. She put up massive inflatables: a Santa, Minions, and elves. The neighborhood adored her holiday decorations.

However, not everyone was a fan. A group of vandals came to her home with knives and stabbed all the inflatables. The next morning, all that remained was their lifeless bodies.

Hardy was heartbroken. Fortunately, her story wasn't over just yet. The mother got a knock on her door. It was a few young children. They showed up with boxes of inflatable decorations. Some had emptied their piggy banks, others even brought money from a lemonade stand.

"The little children had boxes they were holding of inflatables and I started getting all teared up, crying. I couldn't believe it. I still can't. I think I am dreaming. This is unreal," she tells CTV News in the video below.

They all wanted to help, and eventually Hardy's lavish display was back up and running. A private security firm even agreed to guard her display until they could install cameras outside her home.

Hardy was moved to tears by the generosity and kindness of her neighbors.

"You didn't do a thing but bring us all closer together," Hardy says to the vandals. She couldn't be more right.

Sometimes you don't need a Christmas miracle, all you need is a few friendly neighbors.
