Clark Griswold might be the ultimate kooky Christmas-loving dad, but he has nothing on John Storm from Austin, Texas.
While the rest of us spent the past few months enjoying the summer heat and fall fun, Storm has had his eye on Christmas and has been quietly preparing a winter surprise no one in his neighborhood will soon forget. Storm has been hard at work turning his family's home into scenes straight out of the classic 1989 film, "Christmas Vacation".
If you don't know what movie I'm referring to, you need to go out and rent it immediately. It's not just the most hilarious holiday film of all time, it's Chevy Chase's magnum opus and not watching this movie every year is a serious crime against yourself.
As you'll see in the videos below, all of Storm's hard work paid off. His dazzling Christmas trees, lights and elaborate decorations turn an otherwise ordinary home into a truly spectacular site…and cars are lining up at all hours to get a glimpse of the show.
Best of all, Storm wrote on his YouTube page that all the lights he used are eco-friendly and will only cost him an extra $6 to run all winter long.
If this is true, hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more spectacular lights in the future!
