This Old Man Heard Music Outside His Hospital Room…He Never Expected THIS! Kleenex Alert!

Jazz legend Clark Terry spent his 94th birthday in the hospital, so his friends decided to lift his spirits and bring the party to him! On Dec. 16, his musician friends drove four hours to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. and gave him the best birthday surprise ever!

Musicians from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and French-American jazz vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant all walked into the hospital to visit Terry and helped him celebrate his big day with a soulful performance of "Happy Birthday."

Terry, a key member of The Duke Ellington and Count Basie Orchestras in the 1950s, was rolled into the room on his hospital bed and instantly lit up when he heard the beautiful music. This talented group quickly turned this hospital classroom into a concert hall. The music icon was blown away by the surprise. Then, when he went to blow out the candles on his cake, he broke down, leaving the entire rooming tears. He was overjoyed by the kindness of his friends.

Enjoy and please SHARE this beautiful birthday surprise with everyone you know.
